AEC QUALIFIED!!!
FINALLY. This weekend I successfully qualified to compete in the AECs (American Eventing Championships) in September of this year. :D I've been eventing for about 3 and a half years, so this is huge for me. All my shows this spring, my last season at novice, were what got me to where I am. At my first event I finished second, and at my second and third I finished in first, all with no jump penalties on cross country. FIRST PLACE!!!
I'm so amazingly psyched. This past weekend I took Willie up to Louisiana for an event, and we won our division. :D I was actually quite surprised that I had so little trouble with the cross country and stadium, because neither Willie nor I have ever been there before. Nor have we schooled the cross country course, but it was amazing. I'm super excited for our next show, which is in two weeks, and if we go clean on everything there and place well, we'll have qualified for AECs! We've already qua… Continue

Whooo! Second Place!
This past weekend I attended Meadow Creek Horse Trials, in Kosse, Texas, and competed Novice with my gelding, Willie. We tied 2nd with a dressage score of 30, and went clean in both stadium and cross country to take 2nd overall. :D I'm so excited, and I'll try to get video of our dressage and stadium up soon.

Schooling Show Prep
Had a schooling show over the weekend as prep for my upcoming event at Meadow Creek Park.We rode Training Level 3 dressage test and won our class with a score of 66.8, beating a couple trainers who were also competing in open with me. Then rode for a 3rd in our 3'0 jumper class. Good weekend, no? Now I just need to memorize my test for this coming Saturday. :) I uploaded pictures from the show, if anyone wants to comment them.
