I'm Shelby and I have been riding for 13 years...for the most of those 13 years I was a hunter/jumper. Now I recently started eventing, and let me tell you it's so much fun.
Galloping through fields jumping over logs, it's much more fun then sitting on a horse looking pretty.
Although I will have to say I do miss being a hunter/jumper and riding all of my little ponies, well now I can say that I am a eventer and have confidence.
Now to my horses:
Oliver Twist: Ollie
Mini Pearl: Mini
My Only Sunshine: Sonny
Short Stuff: Shorty
Just so you guys know, yes I do show Mini and I trained her to jump 3'3 It's high but for her It's like reaching for the impossible.
Ollie is my newest horse and you could say he's still a little green he just learned this year how to jump 3 ft so he still has a little bit to go.
Sonny he has a mind of his own, one day he'll be perfect then the other day he'll be horrible but he has all the training down he just needs an attitude adjustment.
Last but definitely not least Shorty is an all around pony which means he does pretty much everything let's just say he does english and western so if you want to barrel race on Monday and jump 3 ft on Wednesday he will definitely do all of the above.
(p.s.)
also half of the pictures that I have on my page are part of my family's and my friends and mine...hehe see ya later
Hello, Sorry we have hardly talked im sure we will be good friends but iv got to go and muck out and then do my studing for a vet on sunday im going to uni for a week so ill have to leave my horses at yard (Dam) so i need to make sure they are ok Anyway i will speak tomorrow near around 3.45 ish when i get back from my riding and finish studing cya ps: Because im a jockey i have to train everyday thats why i wont be on alot,
I really would love to try it, but I actually haven't got to practice jumping very much, because the barn i ride at doesn't have a good surface for jumping. But if i can get more practice and my instructor would let me, cross country would be so fun! Especially because we have access to some land that would be good for it! Sadly there are no eventing competitions around here.
