Stevie is lame and pulled a shoe so I just watched her get a massage and also rode Sunny a little and trotted him around. It was fun!!!

I rode in the indoor, and i worked a lot on seeing what works for Stevie. Before i rode, i longed her, and she looked slightly off. But, she wasn't really head bobbing, and when i got on her, she felt fine. And she looked fine, so i just continued with the work, but didn't push her too hard. I warmed up a lot at the walk, and got her to do bends, circles, etc. I also practiced some leg yields. I mainly did the same things at the trot, and was trying in different ways to get her to bend.

We rode in the outdoor today, and to warm up at the walk i tried experimenting to see what worked for her. Intermitten pressure always seems to help. I did A LOT of bending at the walk and then went into the trot. I got to the barn at about 8:30 and we took a light to go find Stevie which took about 20 minutes. I rode in the indoor(since the outdoor doesn't have lights). I decided just to work on flat. Stevie was having another one of her off days. I warmed her up by doing serpentines, figure-eights, and circles. I did some leg yielding to get her off my leg also. Trotting was ok. i warmed her up at the trot by doing the same exercises at the walk, but on a loose rein. As she started to loosen up and rela… Continue

I went to Centre and i groomed Stevie and then took her to the indoor and worked on ground work, which she did well with. After i took her back, i groomed her some more, and gave her treats. Then i put her back in her stall, and about an hour later i came back and she was lying down in her stall. She looked so cute!! So, i went in to see her. I said Hi to Boomer(an old paint horse) and spent some time with him. I also went around to see the new horses at the barn.
