9/9/09-Today I started out getting bunny to give to the bit side to side and she responded with a soft and supple mouth, next at the trot and canter I focused on getting bunny to step forward into the bit with a lot of impulsion and reach from the hind end. I also tried to get bunny to loosen her barrel, lift her shoulder and use her back correctly. Then I got Bunny to do a few flying lead changes, and did some jumping over a few diagonal single crossrails. I focussed on getting bunny to have a better approach to the fence, while I worked on staying up and back on the approach then pressing and folding, and then asking for a flying lead change before the corner. I then ended the ride with some trot work. Today I also worked a little on my equitation and in my 2pt.
9/8/09-Today I rode Bunny at Redwood Farms. I first stretched her out a bit at the walk. Then I picked up the trot and rode bunny a lot on a circle, and worked on getting her to pick up her shoulder, and give her hip, while at the same time driving up into the bit with impulsion from behind and lowering her neck and flexing at the pole. At the canter I continued to ride Bunny on a circle and getting her to relax her head and neck and balance properly. Next I got Bunny to do one simultaneous flying lead change each direction, and then took her on a short walk around the farm to cool her down.
