Tues and Wed. 10/27/09 and 10/28/09

Tues: Worked Trooper w/t/c, and then rode Diamond w/t/c with leverage bit. Worked on sitting back and using legs to drive her and move her around. She did well, and Trooper also did good as i worked on the usual bending and getting him to use his back, etc.
Wed:Went to the barn early in the afternoon and helped deworm the horses. We then went our through the woods where we go on trail rides and set up a small hunt course/cross-country course. It was too wet outside to jump today, but once it dries out we'll get to go and play around. We had a jumping lesson today. I warmed up w/t/c, worked on keeping my hands out of my lap and keeping them together, reaching forward. We did a small jump course where i focused on staying tall and keeping my hands together, then reaching towards his ears on my release. The last line went really well, where Trooper got his striding and i stayed out of his way, recollecting myself between the two jumps.
