Trail rides, Ice and Muddy rings Oh MY!!

Over the summer i had volunteered as a counceler at my barns beginers camp and to thank us my trainer loaded up the horses and took us down to the corps on Monday for a trail ride. I got to take Guinness, so i was WAAY happy about that!!, The only problem was that it had snowed a few days before and all the hills were slippery and all the puddles were frozen, and Guinness has no survival instinct. He decided it was a good idea to try and take off at a canter down ALL the hills, it was like riding a slip n' slide, he was slippin and sliden but i was along for the ride!!! What made it even worse was that he usually needs a strong bit on trail rides, but some girl had taken him to a show and lost it (she lost his girth too so know i have to spend like 10 min finding one that fits his fat but!!) so i had to take him in a plain loose ring snaffle, lets just say that my trainer and her friend (who used to ride Guinness) were very impressed that i didn't die as were all my friends!!

After the trail ride we had to get horses from the weekend pasture and bring them back up to the barn, but our trainer needed to of us to stay behind and water the horses and break the ice on their buckets so me and one of my BFFLs, Madison, decided to stay behind. Well we were watering her mare, Sadie, and we saw this creepy guy who works at the barn, Joeseph, HE IS SOOOOO CREEPY!! One time me and ma friend were goofing off and he was like flirting with the stable manager's boyfriend and we were saying how he was gay and he walked up behind us and to cover up that we were talking about him i said WAAY loud that STERLING THE BARN CAT WAS GAY and 5 min later he walkd by cuddleing Sterling like there's no tommorow!! FREAKYNESS!!! Lets just say we were waaay scared and went to hide in the brake room together!!

WEDNESDAY

By Wedsday the snow had all melted and it had rained so the ring was to soggy to ride in and we had to ride in the field behind the police/fire department. Lets just say it was waaaaay boring!!
