ME:
and I'm 18, and I'm a senior(!!!) at Austin High School. But more importently I ride:
Because nothing else compares...
I have been riding for 3 years. They've been some of the craziest and best years so far (=
I ride at Sterling Hunter Jumpers and its great,
you should check out the website, its wonderful, cause I run it =p lol.
Best of all, I had an awesome 15 year old chestnut Thoroughbred gelding Colby, (who was better then great), for a wonderful year and a half. He passed away last May and I miss him like crazy. (its impossible to describe me without putting Colby in there lol)
I love showing, and compete on the local HJ circut. I haven't been showing very long, but I love it. I LOVE jumping! On Colb's I did 3' - 3'3"ish. Now I'm getting around there again on my trainers horse that I am riding/leasing, Katie. Though, I tend to screw myself up a lot so fence heights can be a changing subject with me.
I guess I will put a little something in here about Katie mare since I'm riding her a bunch now, and leasing her. Well she's a tempermental, silly, moody little mare. She can be so sweet and cute though, she's really pretty (and she knows it lol), and a fanstastic little jumper! She's kinda growing on me, her whole half sweet half moody attitude lol. She can get spoiled, cranky, lazy, silly, and tempermental at times, but she wants to do the job, shes honest usually, and shes great when we work together, which is finally starting to work out lol.
Uh...well I love horses,
riding,
showing
(and hanging with the barn girls! lol),
and helping at the barn...
I hate
school,
homework,
and unfair horse shows (where judges already have favorites, girls are on push-button ponies, and trainers ride the heck out of those horses with the riders only getting on a second before the class, crowded warm up arenas where no one calls out the jump their going to, people showing in way lower classes then they should be, etc.)
Colby: was really talented and sweet. we were very much alike and depite all our little fights and issues, we fit together.
Colby was an awesome little horse
(he was barely 16 hands),
he was a dork and liked to crib.
He liked to squeal like a girl (i used to pretend it was annoying, but who was i kidding i always secretly thought it was funny. even when everyone else was irritated),
he always whinnied at me and any horse that passed by,
and loved jumping, treats of any kind, food,
and rolling in sand and mud.
He had a cute uneven star-strip-snip/ blaze type thing that was pretty confusing (a lot of his markings were).
He also had a little coronet on his left frount,
a little sock on his right frount,
and two very, very, very high little stockings on his back hind legs.
His show name was supposed to be Ever So Clever, but he never got the chance to show under it... for many reasons, among them, he was a great jumper, loved jumping and what not. But, he ducked out (not so much towards the end but he used to be bad about it), and he didnt always just do the regular duck outs, he was clever about it, and he was a handy little TB, so he could REALLY catch you off guard lol.
He taught me more then i could have ever imagined. He meant a great deal to me. I'll always be grateful for all that he has given me. I know where ever he is he's happy and we'll always be together, me and my boy. He'll always be my boy, my first horse, and I'll always love him...
he never got to show under it, but it was going to be: Ever So Clever ....aka Colby

BARN FRIENDS ARE THE BEST! =D
Katie and I, she's the sweet, tempermental little mare of my trainers that I'm leasing. She's pretty sweet, and she's helping me get by.
Katie and I in Intro Jumpers! funfun (=
First Show with Katie! She was SO good!
I ♥ Bareback! Especially jumping (second time jumping bareback, 2'9")!
haha, mare did one of her chip-in, essentially come to a stand still, then somehow arch her body over the fence and clear it lol. i don't know how she does it but obviously i can't follow it as well lol! i didn't fall off, but it made for an interesting photo lol! no sittup, braid flying, hands thrown in an effort to not catch her mouth, about a foot of space between me and the saddle, and that expression lol!
