For those of you who are tired of the school sports people telling you that horse-back riding isn't a sport and that they do more work. Try being gone for weeks at a time for major shows.

About Me:
Hello, I am a seventeen year old girl who lived in Texas with her wonderful parents and little sister. I have lived here all of my life, but I, surprisingly, do not have an accent at all. I own three horses, but one of them lives in Arizona with my grandparents.

My very first horse was a purebred American Saddlebred mare named Divine's Lovestory. She was out of Divine's Legacy and Harlem Globemaster. Unfortunately, we had to sell her before I had her for even a year. But, it was that year that I gained my best friend - K.C. His show name is Khalassified, but I affectionately call him K.C. I don't think I've ever loved anything more than I love that horse; in fact, it's bringing tears to my eyes just writing about him.

He is everything that I could ever want in a horse: intelligent (breaks out of his stall and out of cross-ties), stubborn (he was rejected for training by 8 different trainers), but without a doubt the most caring animal I have ever known. When I bring him out of the pasture in the morning, he rests his muzzle on my chest and breathes; I think he is breathing in my scent. Everything about him makes me smile, and everything about him brings joy to my inmost being.

When he dies, I might not recover.

Recently, (if you call a couple of years recently), my family and I bought Serafina Esperanza (formerly known as DD Victoria) from the Double Diamond sale auction in Boerne, Texas. We call her Fina. She is a purebred mare out of Petrus Carol and Floria and over half polish.

Serafina and I at the one of our first horseshows. She is only four in this picture.

This is Khemo Celebration and I at the same show as the one with Fina. I was riding him in a trail class. Celly is out of Khlegetoh (*Khemosabi) and a mare named Basatina. I won the class.

This is my darling, sweet K.C. and I in a parade downtown. I had so much fun dressing up in the costume; it was such a blast.

I don't know... I'm having these weird thoughts lately about wondering what I really want to do with horses and how far I really want to go with all this. I'm in college now and I've never shown yet, so it's a bit frustrating to think about all the years I lost. I'm just not sure how truly seriously I want to take riding and things like that. Depressing, I know. Anyways, for me, I think eventing would be the ultimate goal. We'll see, though!

Right now I'm pretty much only doing hunters and huntseat, but I'm really interested in doing dressage at some point and then eventing. I just need a horse first... Haha!

Not a problem at all! What discipline do you ride?

hah, I've been asked that a bunch of times. I really got to get to measuring him so i know the exact answer. lol. he's like between 16 and 17 hands. I just have never really measured him for the exact hight. but I'm like 16.2 to the top of my head and my head is about as high as his withers. so i'm guessing that's about how tall he is.
Your horses are beautiful by the way. I love araibians. =]

Yeah, it's incredible. I have a thoroughbred so I don't go to that to compete. It's super fun. There is so much shopping and tons of different events going on at all the time. I love it.

Your horses are beautiful! I live in AZ so I go to the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show every year. It's the only show I go to just to watch! Native custom is def the most fun to watch.
