My sister's horse has arthritis, and we give him a glucosamine supplement, and we make sure he has plenty of time to move about and stretch in the pasture, and he is still jumping and such, although his arthritis must not be that bad..

- I ride at a private barn called A&N Stables. I used to lease a 10 year old QH pony mare named Roxy, but she's back to her owner now. Now I'm leasing a grey Andalusian x TB mare named Lola. I've been riding for a bit over 2 years and my highest jump was 3'6". I show in hunters and maybe a bit of jumpers this summer.

This just sucks.
I doubt many of you know, but I've been full leasing an Andalusian x Thoroughbred mare from some women at a different barn. After she'd been lame just over a week, we had the vet come look at her foot, which was swollen (but no heat). She'd been lame plenty of times before, and we thought it was a simple sprain or something. Yesterday, the vet called, and he thinks Lola has arthritis.
