About Me:

Hey, I'm Kelsey. I'm a senior in high school. I plan on going to college for veterinary science and equine studies. I'd like to become a vet, with a training job on the side. I love Quarter Horses. I don't own my own, but I plan to. I've been riding for almost 7 years, 6 of which were spent at BMF. I'm currently working a paint gelding known as Fieval. What a brat he can be, but he's an awesome horse otherwise. I love riding western. I've been showing in minor shows for the past year and I have been doing rather well so far. I'm a country girl through and through. I love to ride, snowmobile, ATV, hunt coon and deer, hike, and go off-roading. I like to read, write stories and poems, watch movies, and play video games. I LOVE to sing. If I hear a song on the radio I like, I'll sing along to it. Or songs on movies. I can't seem to close my mouth when I feel like singing. It really annoys my brother. I learn songs really quickly. I can listen to a song once or twice and know it. I've been in choir since 6th grade. I'm always a first soprano. For the past 3 years, I've been in a group known as the Fall Mountain Madrigal Singers. It's basically an elite singing group. Most of the girls I sing with are in choir with me. We're the best of the best.
I have a younger brother and an older half-sister. I drive a white Chevy S-10 (I know, not a big truck, but I'm working on it.) I'd really rather have a GMC Sierra or a Chevy Silverado. I've known Kaleigh since 1st grade all those years ago. I was friends with her for a long time, but we went our separate ways. I used to ride with her also. Bonnie used to have me ride TC, but that was a couple years ago. Fival is my main horse right now. I work him regularly to keep him from spending too much time in Fieval's World. I love to make friends and I live to have fun. I used to be really shy, but over time with the right bad influencers, I've come out of my shell. It was a drastic change. My best friend, Jocelyn (Jocie for short) rides English on a Thoroughbred mare named Alie. Unfortunately, she doesn't ride at BMF with me.

Oh jeez!

Yes, cows have done something to me. At my high school's barn, we have seven cows, and out of them all, I hate two the most. One is named Isabelle. She is a Charolais. Last semester, she nearly broke my arm. You know how most animals will back off when you make a loud noise or make yourself look big? These tactics don't work on Isabelle. I know from experience. Hate em!

I have finally decided that I hate cattle! They taste good, but that is all that they are good for. Cattle are so stupid, and I'm sorry if I offend anyone who reads this blog, but if it offends you, don't read it!!! Cattle are ugly, completely brain dead, and possibly the grossest creatures on the planet.

Riding today

I rode earlier today. Fieval and I spent most of the time outside of the ring. I didn't realize how deep the snow was until I was untacking him. He had snow crammed in the girth. He was so crazy today. He took off into the field at the fastest jog I've ever ridden to. Most of the time I had to stand in my stirrups and hold the horn when he took off. It was a lot of fun, though.

What a great day!

Today has been full of good news. First, Bonnie called and told me that Fieval was back at the barn. This means that I can ride during the weeks again! And then I found out that I got accepted to Delaware Valley College in PA! I am so happy right now. I couldn't believe my eyes as I read the "Congratulations!"

That sucks that you get chased by cows though...did she step on you and break your arm? there are cows next to our horses field and we go in there sometimes to try and ride them, we have yet to be successful, but one time they put a bull in there with the other cows and we didn't realize until it was chasing after us...it was funny but only when we got back into the horse field
