About Me:

I'm Katelyn and I'm 19 years old. I'm now a sophomore at Miami University [in Ohio]. My horse's name is Cherish and she's a morab. I'll have had her for 4 years on June 28th. She's 21 years young. Please don't discriminate on her just because she's older. She can kick ass! I do mostly dressage with her. She tries so hard for me and I love her to death. I'm one of those types of people that view my horse as my kid. I won't give her up for anything. She's a rescue horses and I personally believe that they make the best kinds of horses. It's an incredible feeling when you take a horse that was skin and bones and help turn them into a great horse. I love to talk to horse people, so just hit me up!

An animal communicator came to see some of the horses at my barn today. Well it was very interesting, but it didn't really convince me until she actually did my horse. First of all Cherish was very calm with the woman in her stall with her [normally she doesn't like strangers to pet her]. The first thing the woman told me was that Cherish really liked the sweet treats that she was getting. She likes carrots and apples, but she really liked these treats. I'm going to wrap my horse in a bubble lol

So seeing all of the things that can happen to horses makes me wanna wrap my horse in a bubble. It scares me to death when I think about something happening to my horse. I want my horse and I to have fun when we ride. I don't wanna be neurotic, but horses are so fragile. Cherish and I love to gallop in the field, but I always worry about her getting hurt. i no, i really wish i could keep him till he retires, i just dont no if ill b able to afford it later on when i start buying horses to train and sell :( maybe things'll work out, though... i only have him personally, but my mom has a horse and then my first horse is retired at our barn and is used as a lesson horse which is cool, u?

At 11:17pm on July 6, 2008, Emily Roy said…: aw yeah that's how i feel about D... i love him a ton even though he has a horrible attitude problem at times and I'm still trying to find out the best ways to make him happy when i ride... but we've come a really long way together! my trainer said she's going to feel bad whenever i have to sell him, because he's going to need just the right home and it'll be hard to find. aw, it makes me sad! but he really can be the sweetest thing... he just needs someone who can get past his crankiness and find all the amazing things there are to him.. i hope im not going to have to sell him for a long while, but things happen =/

that's cool about the showing though. whatever's best for ur baby! :)
