I've been riding for about 5 or so years now, and I love it! I try to ride as much as possible, which ends up being about 4 times a week right now.
I'm home for the summer from Texas A&M (Class of 2012! A-A-A-A-A!) and have started working with Bullet, a thoroughbred that used to show quite a bit, but then ended up spending a while in a pasture for no real reason. He's an awesome horse, and I'm happy that I get to work with him this summer and get back into showing with my barn friends.
At A&M, I ride some horses (and a pony!) for the trainer out at Sundown Farm. They're awesome people and I'm glad that I found such a nice place to get away from the stresses of school. My favorite horse out at Sundown is Pico, a 12.2 hand welsh pony that I took from a little green terror who wouldn't pick up the left lead for anything to a little champion show pony. I look forward to continuing to polish him up in the fall.

My favorite's are Fjords, QH's, and Trakehner's.
Fjords: Fjords are very sweet horses. They have freakin amazing personalities and will do anything to please you. The fjord I lease is Sparta. Everyone told me he is a crappy horse and Fjords are only…
