About Me:

My name is Emily, I'm 17, and a SENIOR (!) at Bowie HS. I ride at Sterling Hunter/Jumpers, which is an AMAZING barn to ride at! :) We're all like family there. I ride english and I show.. I usually show in Hunters and Medal, though I sometimes do jumpers and equitation, too. (Eq isn't my cup of tea on Damon lol) I've been riding for 5 1/2 years, and I have 3 horses. Lacey is my first horse who's now retired as an SHJ school horse. Then I have Damon (aka Demon) who's my baby! He's a 16.1, 13 y/o bay tb. I love this horse, though he can be really..strange..at times, hahah. We just say he's special or different.. The last one is Ben. He's my mom's and a 9 y/o, 17.1 oldenburg/tb. He's a big dork who loves to have a job to do. I also just started a new "project", working with my trainer's paint pony, Trouble. He just turned 2 and I'm starting to break him. I'm really excited; it's my first horse I've ever broke! He's uber good but supppperrr lazy. Crops and spurs for sure! I'm supposed to work with him and ride him every day, but I wasn't on top of things this past week. Finals and the last week of school made me a bad person, hahah. Now that it's summer, though, it'll be good!

Riding's going to be my career. (Buying, training, selling; lessons, etc.) I know it'll be a ton of work and insanely hard, especially the money side of it, but I don't really care. It's the one and only thing I want to do in life, so I'll do anything to get there. I've known since my very first seconds on a horse that I was going to ride forever, and it didn't take much longer than that for me to decide that my career was going to be in horses. I'm crazy determined and I will not let anything get in my way of making this my job. I have a lot of work to do riding wise, and I won't hesitate to admit it. EVERYONE can improve, I don't care who you are. Those who think they know everything tend to know the least. I can't stand those people. It's called ignorance. ;) I'm extremely OCD when it comes to my riding. I may go to farrier school or apprentice a farrier when I get out of HS. I think it'd be a good way to save and earn cash, but who knows what'll happen! ;)

My goal is to ride 6 or 7 times a week, but when things get really busy it doesn't always happen. My lessons are on Thursdays and Sundays then I teach a few little beginners on Tuesdays and Sundays. They're all so cute, hahah. Monday and Tuesday nights are my night to feed, then any other day Johnny might recruit me for, lol. I don't mind though; I'm just happy to be out at the barn. It's my favorite place to be at, obviously! :)

I'm going to be way excited when I turn 18 and graduate. School isn't my thing, nor is family drama. I'm a spaz and totally random, but it's fine with me! I'll talk to anyone, boredom is always an issue when I'm at home. I love being at the barn 24/7. I love having fun! Anything to put me in a good mood. :) I'm more of a lover, not a fighter, though I make lots of catty and sarcastic remarks (all in good fun). It makes things interesting! I don't tolerate people randomly leaving others obnoxious comments on someone's pics or videos about their riding. So not cool, go get a life. Besides that last comment, I try to be nice to people I don't know, lol. So now I'm gonna go ride D! Yepp :)
