Who ever says a horse is just a horse has never owned one. There is nothing like the bond between horse and rider. =)

i like to hug my horse, and appreciate that it is hodge podge that i am hugging first, and then i pretend he is alan rickman.

I have ta say there is no better feeling then a hug from a horse after a hard day. i Know Mine is Always there for me as i am for him. That feeling of being one with your horse is So Amazing! There is No way that a horse is "Just a horse".

people say "well its just a horse" when i talk about stopping horse slaughter, and then i say "well, its just a human" when they talk about genocide.

If you have ever looked deeply in to a horses eye you know you are their heart and the blood that pumps through their veins and you feel the mutual feeling. You become like one being when you ride. There is no such thing as "Just a horse!" Sometimes they are moody but so are we. sometimes they make bad decisions but we make many. Horses are beautiful souls.

Just a Horse

From time to time, people tell me, "Lighten up, it's just a horse," or "That's a lot of money for just a horse."

They don't understand the distance traveled, the time spent, or the costs involved for "just a horse." Some of my proudest moments have come about with "just a horse."

Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a horse," but I did not once feel slighted. Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by "just a horse," and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of "just a horse" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day.

If you think it's "just a horse," then you will probably understand phrases like "just a friend," "just a sunrise," or "just a promise."

"Just a horse" brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy.

"Just a horse" brings out the compassion and patience that makes me a better person.

Because of "just a horse" I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future.

So for me and folks like me, it's not "just a horse," but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.

"Just a horse" brings out what's good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day.

I hope that someday people can understand that it's not "just a horse" but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being "just a woman."

So the next time you hear the phrase "just a horse" just smile...
because they "just" don't understand.

I have horses ever since I can remember, I love them all, the little pony in my picture is the sweetist horse I know of, her name is Sparky, if there are little kids who want to ride, I have her lay down, and then they can climb on by them selves. Horses are a big part of my life, and I don't know what I would do without them! I have four of my own, along with training other peoples horses I spend at least 2 hours/day with horses. People truley don't understand, because I enjoy just sitting in the field and watching the horses.
