Arabians...

Well, if you're lucky enough to own your own, or ride an Arabian, what's your favorite part about them?

My favorite part about my horse, Monty, is his serious side (he knows when it's time to be serious, during lessons etc.) and his funny side...no not the horse. ;) Anyway, he's good at tons of stuff and will do almost anything I ask..as long as it's not scary and if I do it first. For the longest time we couldn't get him to lunge over the tarp, so I walked over it to "show" him it wasn't scary, and he just walked right over it to me! What a goofball.

Saki tries for me, no matter what im asking her to do...

She has climbed mountains, gone swimming in rivers, jumped ditches... anything...

In training (i ride dressage) she injures herself because she tries so hard (by injures i mean strains a muscle or wakes up a bit sore, not like break a leg^^)

But my trainer told me: "You will break her, you're not doing anything dangerous, and you're not asking her wrong, but she wants to give 200%, while she only has 180% to give. She doesnt get hurt when i ride her because she doesnt try for me, she tries so hard for you that she ultimately hurts herself. but eventually, she will become so strong because of you helping her recover, that she can give you 200% and not become injured."
