Does it bother you when people say horseback riding is easy?

Hey, does it only bother me, or do other people feel this way too? No one really understands what I see in riding and my friends say things like: whats the big deal? All you do is sit on a horse! I find this really annoying. What do you guys think about this?

omg yes it is SO annoying! i dont jump crazy high or nething but it is still a TON of work no matter what u do..... and then u have all the other stuff that goes w/ the horses BESIDES riding them.... ppl who think its easy are just idiots lol

Yes I totally agree with both of you. I always wanted to have one of my friends get on a horse and attmept to do something. I think it would be so funny. And yes, you don't only ride but you also need to feed and wash and groom ect. idk sometimes I just want to scream at those people. I really want to find someone I can talk to about horses that won't find me annoying.

i normally only hang out w/ horse ppl.... except at school..... horses are all i talk about so whenever im not w/ horse ppl they just get annoyed.... and even when its not directly horses im talking about its things my horse friends and i did lol....

in nj its hard to find horse people, at least where i go to school ): and the people who are horse people are stuck up

im lucky one of my best friends, a girl ive known since we were born, loves horses as much as me. [actualy we plan on going to college together to become equine and large animal vets.] Its nice that our friends accept that we love horses and that we are always are talking about them. sometimes we even get them to come riding with us. =] but then there are still those annoying people who think were wierd for loving horses and that there is really nothing too it. uggg. people are so dumb sometimes.

OMG!!! i here it every day. Even when horseback riding isnt even in the convo. I wanted to bring one of my best friend to horseback riding and he said yea its easy all you do is sit there and the horse does everything. Im like ummm no why do you think the horse knows all the stuff. Its because you have to teach it, it. You also have to tell the horse what to do and when to do it. Let me say that person never came to horseback riding. Apparently its to "easy'.

OMG yes it drives me crazy!! My mom is the main one who says this. She is like, what is so hard about riding a horse all you have to do is sit up there and look pretty!! It drives me crazy, and my mom has no room to talk cuz she is to scared to even get anywhere near a horse!

aw i dont like stuck ups.... :(.... heheh i find if funny when non horse ppl try to act like know-it-alls..... i was told by a nonhorsey person who watched a group lesson of mine that i was the worst rider since i was the only one to fall off.... yep falling makes u a bad rider of course....

HAHA omg thats so funny. falling off makes you all the better, in my opinion. yeah and my school is filled with stuck ups, which is why i hate it there so much. but the one place i like is the stables because im around my kind of people

YES I HATE IT! you try to steer a 1250 pound animal throught tight poles or a huge barrel pattern in 15 seconds! it's horriable how peoplethink it's so easy. pluss you have to take care of the horse, clean stalls, feed, water, clean, pack up and travel to shows!
