What do you do and how do you feel before a horse show?

I have to eat something small like an energy bar, and get lots of sleep! I feel nervous and excited, but after the first class, I'm fine!

I get all my stuff out the night before and go to sleep at like 12am. Lol. Then my friend that came over before the show wakes me up and I am very grumpy! Then I get to the barn and I get all happy! Then we all load up and my friends and I normally get in the tack room of the trailer. We get up to the show and I have to rush to get my horse out and tack up. I get nervous and my horse is just like chill. I learn my course by making into a song! Lol. I actually can't not eat before the show or else I will get sick! I always have to have soda to wake me up and get me going!!! My friends always help me with my courses too. After shows we chill and watch everyone from our barn and cheer them on! Then we take the barn owners dog for a walk around the show place! Lol. I dont why but we get bored! Lol. Thats basically it!

What do I do?
-I practice and warm up the horse I'm riding, go over what classes I'm in and what to do in them, get my outfit together, get tack ready, groom 'till my fingers burn...

How do I feel?
-Insanely nervous, but excited. I try to concentrate and keep calm and hope for the best! It doesn't really matter what placing I get, as long as I know I tried.

a little nervous till after the first class, then its all fun! I cant eat at all till after the last class though. i worry i wont be able to keep it down and it would really stink to get it on all the just cleaned tack. =)

I get a lot of sleep the night before, but then the day of the show, I get really nervous if its a new show or different classes than what I usually do... when I get nervous, my stomach hurts really bad and I cant eat anything even though I need to before my classes. If I've done the classes before, I'm fine, its really weird:)

Usually im in bed by 2am. I have to band my horses and such & sleezy and sheet them. eat dinner and pack the trailer.
It is a hard thing to do with dinner involved too. I get pretty nervous, and once i went to bed at 5am! with having to get up at 6am to be at the show grounds by 6:45am!!!!!
Horse shows--a buisness you MUST be commited to!
